The winner of Week 40 of our #52weeksofnature photo contest is Pawan Singh (@pawansphotography). Pawan found a break in the weather to create this amazing shot of the Grand Canyon. Grand Canyon National Park, AZ

What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Nikon D750
Lens: 24-70mm
Shutter Speed: 1/200
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO: 100

Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
Not much, I was visiting the Grand Canyon with my family. It was very cloudy and rainy during sunset, but all of the sudden the sun came out and lit the Canyon. I quickly snapped a few images.

How long have you been shooting?
I started in 2016 but never thought I’d be so passionate about it.

What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
I enjoy shooting landscape and astrophotography but don't mind shooting whatever catches my eye.

Do you shoot with a crew or shoot solo?
Mostly solo and sometimes with friends.

What excites you about photography?
Photography gives me a way to see the world from a different perspective and I feel very relaxed while doing it.
