The winner of Week 39 of our #52weeksofnature photo contest is Robert Carter (@carterelliott). Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, CA

What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Fuji X-T3
Lens: 16-55mm
Shutter Speed: 1/80
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO: 160

Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
This was the second morning trying to capture the fog through the trees in the morning sunlight. It consisted of a lot of running around and chasing the changing conditions.

How long have you been shooting?
I started with an iPhone in 2016, moved to a digital camera in 2017 and to a mirrorless soon after. I have always enjoyed art and photography though.

What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
I enjoy travel photography the most. Astro photography and underwater photography are close seconds.

Do you shoot with a crew or shoot solo?
About 50/50.

What excites you about photography?
Photography gives me a way to get away from the day to day monotony of a desk job and long commute. Traveling the world and chasing down the "bucket-list" shots one by one.
