ISO: 640
Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
The day before we hiked the entire area around the falls. We chose some potential compositions and then returned the following day for sunrise and sunset. This photo was taken that evening.
How long have you been shooting?
I have been shooting since I was about 10 years old and I am 25 now.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Landscapes and backcountry adventure photography.
Where would be your dream location to take photos?
The Dolomites mountain range in Italy is on my bucket list, along with New Zealand and Norway.
Who are some photographers that inspire you?
Photographers who inspire me the most are ones who immerse themselves in nature and venture out into the backcountry. Ones who stray away from society and easily accessible places. Marc Adamus, Ansel Adams, and Paul Nicklen are a few of many.
What excites you about photography?
The amount of diverse landscapes and public land we have here in the US. I work in the outdoor industry as a guide, and taking people into remote places and photographing their interaction with the landscape is what I live for.
