Where was the image shot?
Sycamore Canyon, AZ.

What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Sony A7rIII
Lens: Samyang 14mm f/2.8 ED AS IF UMC
Shutter Speed: .6'
Aperture: f/16
ISO: 100

Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
Location scouting to find the best composition before sunset.

How long have you been shooting?
I've always been into photography. I used my parents' point and shoot camera during zoo trips, etc, when I was a kid. But three years ago was when I really dove in, bought a nice camera and found my true passion.

What's your camera of choice?
I'm a big fan of the entire Sony Mirrorless series! Made the upgrade this year to the full frame Sony A7rIII after beginning with the Sony a6000.

What’s your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Anything nature! But if I had to narrow it down, I'd say waterfalls and wildlife. We often plan our trips/hikes to seek out natural waterfalls, caves and arches, but I get the most excited when I come across an animal in the wild. Squirrel!

Do you shoot with a crew or shoot solo?
I never mind shooting solo, but almost 100% of the time I'm adventuring with my partner-in-crime and photo model, Allyson Dorsey.

What excites you about photography?
Photography drives me to stretch my limits by seeking out and exploring new places. It takes countless hours of planning, traveling and practice to continuously improve and create truly special shots. That's what has me so addicted. The constant desire and opportunity to become better; to create unique and moving imagery that inspires others to explore, cherish and protect our amazing planet.
