Sierra Nevada Foothills, California
What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Sony A7R IV
Lens: G Master 100-400mm
Shutter Speed: 1/1000
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO: 100
Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
Not necessarily, just a lot of running back and forth from where I was standing in the photo to my camera’s location. So, if anyone was watching I’m certain they had good a laugh as well as wondering what the heck I was doing.
How long have you been shooting?
About 6 years.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Just about anything. I know people say you need to focus on one thing, but maybe I have not found that yet?
Where would be your dream location to take photos?
Bucket list topper is Iceland.
Who are some photographers that inspire you?
Wow, so many out there that are amazing it’s hard to pick. Top 5 I’d say Chris Burkard, Nick Page, Sarah Lyndsay, Fred Marmsater, Josh Cripps, and Steve Mattheis.
What excites you about photography?
When I take my gear out and expect absolutely nothing interesting to shoot and then nature proves me wrong!
