O’ahu, Hawaii

Camera: Sony a6000
Lens: 16mm
Shutter Speed: 1/160
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 100
Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
I’ve shot this pod of dolphins a few times before and they like to hang around the same spot in the morning before heading out to sea. To get the shot I had to wake up early and hop in the water just after sunrise.
How long have you been shooting?
I started in high school with an iPhone, eventually got a GoPro, and got more into photography after learning all of the basics from a film class I took.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
I just love shooting my experiences whether it be a landscape, a hike, a waterfall, or some dolphins out in the ocean.
Do you shoot with a crew or shoot solo?
Two-man crew of me and my girlfriend. We enjoy going back-and-forth being behind and in front of the camera.
What excites you about photography?
Being able to capture a moment in time and look back at it months or even years later and remember that amazing experience in the photo.
