Where was the image shot?
Rocky Mountain National Park, CO

What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Nikon D750
Lens: Nikon 24-120mm
Shutter Speed: 1/320
Aperture: f4.0
ISO: 100

Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
No I was very lucky to arrive to Mills Lake mirror still. It only lasted a moment and then the water got choppy with the wind.

How long have you been shooting?
Three years.

What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Nature and landscape, especially at sunrise.

Where would be your dream location to take photos?
New Zealand.

Who are some photographers that inspire you?
Jody Macdonald, female photographer for NatGeo.

What excites you about photography?
I'm a control freak to be quite honest. Photography is exciting for me because I have very little control over the elements. Many times the best photos come from exciting unplanned moments, and this photo is no exception. Mills Lake is large and almost impossible to get a reflection shot due to alpine winds. But on this day I was lucky enough to enjoy 5 minutes of pure mirror stillness.
