San Francisco, CA

What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Nikon D7200
Lens: 55-300mm
Shutter Speed: 1/4000
Aperture: f/4.8
ISO: 250

Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
Not much. I checked the surf report and a couple of friends said that it was really good so I headed to the beach and it was one of the best windows of surf I’ve seen in a while.

How long have you been shooting?
I have been taking photos for about three and a half years. I started with a GoPro and just continued to save up money to buy new gear!

What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Empty waves for sure.

Do you shoot with a crew or shoot solo?
I normally shoot by myself, but i’ll go with some surfers and get shots of them.

What excites you about photography?
I like the feeling that you can always get a better shot. That makes me want to keep on coming back again and again.
