Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
Honestly, none at all. I was showing my mom Rocky Mountain National Park for the first time but we were met with a wall of fog. I kept my camera in my pack until we came across this lake. We saw the dew falling off the trees and the slight treeline reflection.
How long have you been shooting?
A little over a year now, I invested in my Sony Alpha and began to take it more seriously.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Landscapes by far, there are so many factors that go into capturing landscape shots and I love the challenge.
Do you shoot with a crew or shoot solo?
I typically shoot solo or with my dog Rooney. My friends don't have the patience to go on hikes with me because I'm frequently stopping.
What excites you about photography?
Photography serves as an escape for me. It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and the curve balls that life throws at you. Photography gives me the opportunity to slow everything back down and not take anything for granted.
