Camera: Canon 80D
Lens: Canon 24-70mm
Shutter Speed: 1/250
Aperture: f7.1
ISO: 100
Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
I wandered around for almost an hour looking for the right composition. Once I finally had it, clouds were covering the peaks. I waited in that spot for about 3 hours for them to clear.
How long have you been shooting?
A little over 25 years.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Definitely landscapes! Wildlife is a close, close second.
Where would be your dream location to take photos?
Without a doubt the Faroe Islands between Iceland and Norway… it’s absolutely stunning.
Who are some photographers that inspire you?
Ansel Adams, Art Wolfe, David Noton and Gavin Hardcastle.
What excites you about photography?
Wow, tough question, so many things. I guess the top is the feeling I get being out in the mountains with my camera before the sun comes up, before anyone is awake. Knowing what is out there and waiting for the sun to paint the landscape with light. Not a lot of people know that feeling other than photographers.
