What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Canon 5D Mark IV
Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm

Aperture: f/2.8
ISO: 250
Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
The drive from Vermont to South Dakota definitely took some preparation but once there I just found a ridgeline, made myself at home on the ground, and played the waiting game.
How long have you been shooting?
I got my first camera in 2014 and have been shooting whenever possible since.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Landscapes and wildlife have always been an enticing pair because of my love for the outdoors. I can’t recall a time adventuring in the mountains that I wish I’d spent elsewhere.
Where would be your dream location to take photos?
Hiking Hermannsdalstinden in Norway is definitely on the bucket list.
Who are some photographers that inspire you?
Paul Nicklen has always been an inspiration of mine as a photographer and conservationist. Emmett Sparling is another who never faulters in providing awe-inspiring travel content from all around the world.
What excites you about photography?
The ability to capture and then share a moment. Nothing is better than being able to have an image bring a smile to someone else’s face.
