Where was the image shot?
The image was shot in Granite Bay, Noosa National Park, Queensland, Australia.

What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: DJI Mavic Pro Drone
Shutter Speed: 1/500
ISO: 100

Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
I’ve spent a lot of time up around the Sunshine Beach/Noosa area. I’m a huge surfing fan and rock climber and there is some great bouldering and amazing long boarding around those points. The four bays make for amazing photos. One day I noticed the unique sand formations and thought they'd look cool from above so I brought out the drone and focused on capturing the deep banks along with the waves. I knew the rock formations would make the photo pretty special too.

How long have you been shooting?
I've been shooting for about three years. Recently I spent time chasing skiers and landscapes in Canada and just returned back for the Australian winter.

What's your camera of choice?
The Nikon D750 is my main everyday camera body. It’s amazing.

What’s your favorite subject matter to shoot?
I’m a huge fan of surf and ski photography. I love capturing somebody who’s extremely talented or just someone having an awesome time and full of happiness. I love hiking to shoot landscapes as well.

Do you shoot with a crew or shoot solo?
Always solo.

What excites you about photography?
I love watching people react to an image that is shot from a different perspective than they are used to seeing. Some people are so surprised by the beauty of the area around them.
