Hawaii is filled with green mountains and ridgelines, but it's not until you get up close and personal that you realize how steep and impressive they really are. Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
There wasn’t much besides the four mile hike to set up the shot I wanted.
How long have you been shooting?
I bought my first camera two and a half years ago to take photos of my friends surfing.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Landscape photography became my favorite subject to shoot after moving to Hawaii. The ridgelines here are so dramatic. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
Where would be your dream location to take photos?
Yosemite National Park, Iceland, and the Dolomites in Italy.
Who are some photographers that inspire you?
Chris Burkard and Jimmy Chin.
What excites you about photography?
What excites me most is doing an amazing hike and being able to capture a moment that I can always look back on to remember the adventure.
