Proxy Falls, Oregon
What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Canon 6D Mark II
Lens: Sigma 20mm
Shutter Speed: 1/10
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 50
Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
Weeks of planning in hopes to get the waterfall less crowded. I had to climb in the middle of the river to get the right angle and it was sketchy to set up the tripod. In between each shot I had to wipe my lens because the mist was so strong.
How long have you been shooting?
I bought my first camera about 12 years ago. It was just a hobby until 3 years ago when I started taking it more seriously.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
My Wife! We travel together 99% of the time and I create a lot of photos and videos for her travel blog. She's the subject in this photo.
Do you shoot with a crew or shoot solo?
Mainly solo.
What excites you about photography?
When people see my photo and want to go see the place for themselves. If the story can inspire others, then that makes me really excited.
