Only a quick train ride from Paris, the forest of Fontainebleau are some of the most unique in the world. A wilderness of trees filled with countless sandstone boulders scattered across 1,200 kilometers makes this destination a climbers paradise. Tribesman Jimmy Webb and Keenan Takahashi trekked through the forest in search of coveted French boulders with a climbing history like no other. They covered some serious ground, discovered some new climbs and drank plenty of quality wine. Photography by Cameron Maier.
