Canyonlands National Park, UT

Camera: Sony a7 III
Lens: Sony 20mm
Shutter Speed: 14 sec
Aperture: f1.8
ISO: 2500
Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
This shot came about as natural as it gets. As we were setting up our camp the light show in the dark and clear Utah skies started to unfold. The heart of the Milky Way started to creep across the sky. It was from horizon to horizon almost like a rainbow of Milky Way.
How long have you been shooting?
Just over 3 years.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Definitely mountainous landscapes and wildlife as they typically go hand in hand.
Where would be your dream location to take photos?
It would be a tough decision between Norway and Iceland. Norway might take the lead with the beautiful mountains rising out of the sea, incredible waterfalls, and the wonders of the Northern Lights.
Who are some photographers that inspire you?
My top 3 photographers that I am constantly inspired by are Nate Luebbe, Chris Burkard, and Charly Savely.
What excites you about photography?
It gives someone who may not have the chance or ability to travel and experience remote parts of the world the opportunity to do so with my own photography. Hopefully one day my photography inspires others to get out there to enjoy it themselves and aids in the conservation of nature so that these places are around forever.
