Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
Finding the composition, setting up the tripod and tuning my settings for the sunset.
How long have you been shooting?
I have been shooting DSLR for 7 years.
What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Anything nature related really. I mostly photograph landscapes, wildlife, flowers and fungi.
Where would be your dream location to take photos?
I have so many places and subjects I would love to photograph but on the top of that list would be Banff National Park.
Who are some photographers that inspire you?
I’ve always been more inspired by my fascination for nature than individual photographers. Nature documentaries are what originally piqued my interest in photography. I get most of my inspiration from the local photographers in Humboldt County and my passion for sharing the beauty I see in nature with others.
What excites you about photography?
The thrill of going out hiking and not knowing what you’re going to see, along with the challenge of being prepared to capture it. On the other end, I also love the excitement of planning a specific photo and having to wait for the perfect conditions to capture it.
