Where was the image shot?
Pino's Peak trail located in the Cleveland National Forst, California

What camera did you use and what were the settings?
Camera: Canon 5d Mark IV
Lens: Tamron 70-200mm
Shutter Speed: 1/500
Aperture: f/4.5
ISO: 100

Was there any special preparation required to capture the photo?
Not really, I just had to walk extra slow when on the trail because I had just gotten over an ankle surgery 4 months earlier.

How long have you been shooting?
Since I was 16. My high school yearbook teacher was annoyed with me one day and told me to take a camera outside to go shoot and the rest is history.

What's your favorite subject matter to shoot?
Landscapes and conceptual work have to be my favorite two subjects to shoot.

Where would be your dream location to take photos?
Torres del Paine National Park in Chile’s Patagonia region hands down! The raw nature and beauty of that area is truly remarkable.

Who are some photographers that inspire you?
Carleton Watkins, Ansel Adams, Terri Weifenbach, Edward Burtynsky, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Chris Burkard to name just a few.

What excites you about photography?
The constant evolution and learning that comes along with photography. Since I started to shoot, I feel that every day I am blessed to hold a camera is another day that I am learning something about it.
